Work Experience
- Writing Assistant, School District of Philadelphia. (July 2010-Present) I assist in analysis, writing and research for the Facilities Management department at the School District of Philadelphia.
- Editor-in-Chief, The Temple News. (August 2009-May 2010) I worked at The Temple News, Temple University’s student-run newspaper since January 2007, as an opinion writer, a copy editor, an opinion columnist and a section editor. In my capacity as Editor-in-Chief, I managed a staff of 23 and oversaw all aspects of the paper, including editorial content, design, advertising, salaries and recruiting.
- Intern, Philadelphia Daily News. (January-May 2009) I work on my own and with other reporters covering breaking news, including crime, press conferences and court proceedings.
- Intern, Lancaster New Era. (June 2008-Aug. 2008) I worked alone and with reporters on various hard news and feature articles, including crime, court procedures and human-interest stories.
