Biography

Stephen Zook is a writer and freelance journalist living in Philadelphia.

Standing on the Umbrella Rock in central Ghana.

Born in Lancaster, Pa., I was raised in the conservative Amish culture by my parents, until I followed my older sister’s steps into public high school. There, I found my love for both writing in general and journalism in particular. I chased that passion to Temple University, where I graduated in 2010. I hope to one day work in the Foreign Service, and to continue writing, learning and exploring.
