Whoopie pies are going national!

Apparently, whoopie pies are now a national thing.

According to a New York Times article, the delectable treats are now found in bakeries all over the country.

This is of interest to me because of my Lancaster roots, where whoopie pies are perhaps most well-known. I remember eating more than I should have several times. Of course, when my mom makes them, they are chocolate with white frosting/icing/cream/whatever it’s called. Some bakeries have them in all kinds of flavors.

Good to know. Now I can go all over the country and still have my whoopie pies.
